How to learn from your mistakes and not give up

Mistakes we sure dislike making them especially the ones that cause us grief and make our life less comfortable. Oh, but how we blossom when learning from them. Yes, that’s the key thing to do from those miserable things we call mistakes, learn from them.

Exactly how do we learn from them? Sure we are familiar with the term learning from your mistakes. But when we are caught up in making several, one after the other, we just don’t want to hear the clichés. By than we are just frustrated and want instant results.

The sooner you begin to accept your mistakes and learn from them, the sooner you can begin to pursue your success on the particular item or idea you are striving for. You must give yourself an opportunity to gain knowledge from the mistake that is made and ponder as to why it came about in order to continue reaching for the goal. You must also come to understand that making mistakes are a natural function in life. There is hardly anyone whom does not make them but, there are plenty whom learn from them and do not give up.

Now as an example let’s take a look at a common mistake some people make and how we can learn from it.

The mistake. Wasting your time dating the wrong person. So you are in a time of your life where you want to settle down and start a family. You just ended a turbulent relationship with a very unstable person. And you are feeling horrible, beating yourself up for the choice you made, wondering what on earth you ever saw in them and worrying that you will never find the one. You think of the time wasted and wallow in misery, feelings of insecurity and loneliness start to creep up and then bam! You’re out back in the dating scene within a few days of the breakup; because you are scared of being alone and you can’t bear to lose anymore time. so, you think, what's wrong with finding one person to help you forget the other? That scenario my dear is a long string of many more mistakes to come.

Learning from the mistake. Instead what I would suggest is to accept the outcome for what it is, which is the relationship has come to an end, point blank. Take time out to mourn over the loss of the relationship and than afterward examine carefully what damaging causes and character defects on either side contributed to the unhealthiness of the relationship. Carefully remind yourself of what it was that you disapproved about that person and what traits you would like for your future partner to have. This will help gain knowledge and perspective in helping to prevent making a future mistake very similar to the last and perhaps help you succeed in your future quest for a mate.

Have you ever heard of the term “Don’t mind the little things” Well, I have a new one “Be grateful for the little mistakes” For they can save you a lot of trouble in the future and are more often then not blessings.

Past mistakes can help you see that things are not always what they seem and they can help build your intelligence to help you see what is carefully hidden.
